RELAPSE/REGRESSION PROGRAM

Relapse/REGRESSION Program (GS RESISTANCE):

  • Step 1

Contact your admin immediately if you suspect your cat is relapsing.

Common symptoms at relapse are: lethargy, inappetence, weight loss, fever, neurological or ocular involvement etc…

  • Step 2

     Confirm the relapse with your admin and provide the following:

    1) CBC, Chem panel and US (only for wet FIP- a quick scan is sufficient to confirm presence of the effusion)

    2) Video of the cat walking

    3) Clear picture of the eyes

    4) Weight and list of the symptoms

  • Step 3

    Confirm with your admin that your cat developed resistance to GS-441524 and further dosage increase it is unlikely to be successful.

  • Step 4

    Send the documents listed on step 2 and fill the FIP spreadsheet to include past bloodwork values.

    Include the following information in the email to request the trial treatment for GS resistance cases:

    1) Name of the cat

    2) Your name and name of your admin

    3) Type of FIP

    4) Breed, age, sex of the cat

    5) Which trial you want to enroll: EIDD-2801, EIDD-1931, combination GS-441524 and EIDD-2801, Nirmatrelvir (limited participants).

  • Step 5

    We will discuss the protocol with you and your admin.

    You will be asked to sign a waiver of liability before we can send the trial medication.

  • Step 6

    Start the relapse treatment following the protocol sent to you.

    Complete the questionnaire weekly and send it to us.

  • Step 7

    Repeat CBC, chem panel and US/X-ray (for wet FIP) every 4 weeks.

    Keep your admin updated.

    Do not stop treatment without reaching out to us and your admin.
